Who needs an ass whippin'

There's a title for you to read out loud. WHO NEEDS AN ASS WHIPPIN? Sounds kinda cool when you say it out loud, don't ya think?

In pursuit of trying to find out who needs an ass whippin, I've done some pretty serious study. As an example of that, think about this: When we found the idiots who started the First and Second World Wars and then whipped their asses good and proper, why then are things still so screwed up in so many parts of the world? Did the idiots who survived all that learn nothing?

My family learned a whole lot of stuff between 1935 and 1945. After all the required ass whippin took place and the war was over, they came home to make love not war. It worked great for them as they built houses, grocery stores, businesses, joined the police force, got jobs and had lots of kids.

It worked really great for us cause we had lots of first cousins who were really neat. As a result of all that, the cousins built houses, a grocery store, joined the fire department, sold oil field supplies, did that college degree thing and had great careers. Worked like a charm and insured that our clan would never be found on the list of idiots or among any of those who needed an ass whippin.

Despite the "make love not war" thing that went on within our family, some baby boomers were only 5 years old when the Korean War heated up and others were only 10 when the paper work between South Vietnam and Washington started flowing.

It never ceased to be a curiosity in my life as the way I had it figured out focused on the millions of war dead on all sides and to me, those numbers would be sufficiently large enough to get the idiots to go hide somewhere or just shut up and leave well enough alone.

Some of those idiots I am referring to must have been out of town or something like that when all the killin' was going on or else they were just so stupid they needed a real good ass whippin' to help them figure it out.

It's pretty clear to most of us that the numbers killed during the wars didn't entice the remaining idiots to shut up and leave well enough alone. In effect, it only changed the geographic location of history's dumber mistakes a little bit. If you keep in mind the previous statements I've made about the stupidity of Man, you may begin to see what I'm talking about.

From a geographic standpoint, all we've seen is a movement from Pearl Harbor, Midway, Guadalcanal, Okinawa, Dunkirk, Omaha Beach, Bastogne and Berlin, to other places throughout the world.

When I read the Rise and Fall of the Japanese Empire I began to get the big picture and understood the connection between "Colonialism" and those who were to be "Colonialized". There's a thought for you. Somewhere along the line somebody forgot to ask: "What about the people"?

I don't blame the French or the Japanese for Vietnam any more than I blame either one of them for Korea. I do however, accept that the French Colonialists came to South East Asia and tried to peddle their brand of life to the Vietnamese and were only interrupted by the Japanese who came there and demanded that the people fall in line with their ideology of the Co Prosperity Sphere. That didn't work either and resulted in another ass whippin for them.

Oddly enough, the French, who had already shown their lack of capacity for war with Hitler, simply became numb to the lessons and experiences they had during that time or they were simply dumb. In my opinion, after the second world war, when they came to Vietnam, they were promoted somewhat and gave us all a better understanding of Dumb and Dumber. Their defeat at Dien Bien Phu sometime around 1954 should have mandated a history course in every French school but I'm pretty sure that  didn't happen.

In any event, it appears to me that World War II has taken a couple of vacations and stopped fighting for a while. If you have a question or two about that, you may want to google places like Libya, Beirut, Egypt, North Korea and some of the places where all those pirates hang out. Seems to me that there's some pretty serious ass whippin on the horizon and that the Stupidity of Man posts that I've made in the past, do have some serious thoughts as well as some valid points.

I'll continue connecting all the dots here but will take off for now and await a few more comments before continuing. Thanks.
